LEADING THE FIELD

Ed Verner’s Auckland restaurant, Pasture, has achieved a huge first for a New Zealand restaurant, winning a place on the prestigious list of 40 Best Restaurants in the World, a collaboration between Travel + Leisure and Food & Wine. The list, compiled by Besha Rodell, aims to seek out those restaurants that most dazzlingly represent the cultures and communities of their locations. Australia, New Zealand, Latin America and the Caribbean were assessed before COVID-19 curtailed the hunt.
