TOP TIP

-

If you pop the cork on a bottle and the wine smells like a damp dog sleeping in a mouldy cardboard box – you’ve got cork taint. It can be ‘fixed’ if you’re desperate to sip something and have no alternatives. Bundle up a big wad of cling film, bung it a jug, pour the rest of the wine over the top of it and stir it around for 10 minutes or so. Science will occur and the ‘yuck’ will disappear. You’re welcome.
