Keep a detailed record when blending your own perfumes

Keep a journal of which oils, and the exact amounts, you use for your blending trials. There is nothing worse than mixing an amazing scent and forgetting what you put in it! Write down everything and study it. The more you study scent combinations, the better you will be at combining the different aromas. Use perfume smelling strips too. Gather all the strips together and wave them under your nose to determine which combinations you like best.
