Consumers, particular­ly Gen Z, are increasing­ly inclined to make purchasing decisions prompted by social media influencer­s and online communitie­s. An Oracle and CRM Essentials survey of more than 2,000 adults in the U.S aged 18 to 80 found that 37 percent of participan­ts trusted social media influencer­s over brands while 80 percent had purchased products in direct response to social media content.
