Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant

-

As the name suggests, Cantonese cuisine is the hallmark of this wellestablished 260-seat restaurant. The chefs are known for their exquisite dim sum creations, available à la carte and during the weekend dim sum brunch. Popular items include the light, fluffy steamed white buns with a generous filling of tender and sweet barbecued pork. Resembling a Chinese money pouch sitting proudly in the centre of a moat is a delicate robe of egg white containing braised bird’s nest; its gelatinous texture provides savoury and sweet flavours in each mouthful. The barbecued chicken, duck and pork are presented on a combination platter, with each item retaining its individual character. Avocado cream with vanilla ice cream is lusciously smooth, thick and creamy— a highly recommended dessert to end the meal with. A small wine list includes a house pour by the glass. Staff are polite and do their best in the perennially busy restaurant.
