This attractive and well-furnished Chinese restaurant prides itself in offering diners authentic or elevated versions of Chinese and local Singapore cuisine. The Singapore slaw is a refreshingly colourful appetiser, using a kaleidoscope of natural colours from 18 vegetables to stunning visual effect. The lobster laksa features rice noodles with some lobster slices, scallops and tiny clams; the broth is tasty, with the right amount of spiciness, but needs more aromatic punch from the laksa leaves. The highlight of the evening is the Sri Lankan crab with black peppercorn sauce, which puts a tantalising zing on the palate.
