Golden Peony has all the trappings of a good Chinese restaurant—and great service to boot. Traditional Chinese food is where Golden Peony shines, so start the meal with the generously sized bowl of doubleboiled Mini Buddha Jumps Over the Wall with abalone, as well as the signature double-boiled seafood soup in whole young coconut, which is moreish and refreshing. Make sure you leave stomach space for the great rendition of roast London duck—extremely fragrant and with a crisp, glistening brown skin that gives way to the succulent meat. The restaurant has an impressive wine list, too, which is carefully chosen to complement the Cantonese dishes.
