What a joy it was to see Antie Bettagoed on Platteland’s cover. Through Betta’s eyes, lifestyle and artist’s soul, you see the Kalahari in a completely new way.

Yet she has not only helped the Bushmen produce exclusive handmade products but has also helped Zulu women in the rural areas of KZN to make handmade products, sold under the name Zimele.

It’s an absolute privilege to see Francoise and her blue bus in “her” environment, to know what she is doing and how close she’s living to the earth. Here is a woman who makes a big difference with the smaller things in life.
