Sweet Strawberry Festival is finally here!

Only two more sleeps until the George Strawberry Festival presented by Ola takes place at Redberry Farm in George on 29 and 30 September! There are over 50 attraction­s to look forward to, centred around sweet, sweet strawberri­es!

Weekend highlights include an outdoor country market, live shows by local artists, trail running, CrossFit, dance performanc­es, helicopter flips and the Algoa FM Top 30 broadcast.

Enjoy the fun strawberry experience! Indulge in strawberry treats or cocktails at the Strawberry Emporium, pick your own strawberri­es in the fields or enter the Redberry Farm Strawberry Eat-Off and strawberry stomping competitio­ns.

Your fun family festival has plenty in store for the kids - a gigantic inflatable kids play park, tiny tots soft play area, and Redberry Farm activities - mini train, pony rides, pedal go carts, bunny feeding, boats and bubble ball on the dam. Kid-friendly shows include live performanc­e by Lollos, a puppet show, balloon twisting, Meet your favourite Mascot, face painting and the Ace Models Miss Strawberry pageant.

Make sure not to miss the country life and good food family weekend! The Strawberry Festival presented by Ola is open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 29 September and 09:00 to 16:00 on Sunday 30 September. Entry at the gate is R55 for adults, R25 for kids aged 3 to 12, and free for kids 0 - 3.

Included in the ticket price are: a Redberry Farm strawberry picking voucher for the first 5 000 entries, Ola ice-cream, outdoor country market, live shows, beer garden and food theatre.
