He­a­vy rain­fall had the fi­nal say in the C­ric­ket SA Pro­vin­ci­al Three Day ma­tch be­t­ween SWD and K­waZu­lu-Na­tal In­land that was play­ed at the Ci­ty O­val in Pie­ter­ma­ritz­burg the past wee­kend. With no play pos­si­ble on the first two days SWD, who star­ted their in­nings on Sa­tur­day mor­ning, de­cla­red their first in­nings at 256/8. O­bus Pie­naar (65) and Neil Horn­buckle (71) con­tri­bu­ted with half-cen­tu­ries. Ot­her bats­men who did their part and sco­red 30 runs or mo­re we­re: Yam­ke­la O­lip­hant (49) and B­ren­don Louw (30).

With the rain li­mi­ting KZN In­lands to sco­re on­ly 66/2 the cap­tains shook hands de­cla­ring the ma­tch a draw.
