Co­lour Run has 3 new ex­pe­rien­ces

With three new ex­pe­rien­ces to e­le­va­te this y­e­ar’s Re­tail Ca­pi­tal Sum­mer Mu­sic Co­lour Run se­ries, this will be an e­vent you won’t want to miss. Run­ners will en­joy s­par­kling glit­ter start and en­joy a fe­s­ti­val zo­ne with a gi­ant in­fla­ta­ble s­li­de as well as a dod­ge­ball a­re­na t­hat adds to the fes­ti­ve at­mos­p­he­re.

The 2018 se­ries held in Mos­sel Bay, Her­ma­nus and P­let­ten­berg Bay will ta­ke pla­ce du­ring the De­cem­ber ho­li­days. To­get­her the­se towns at­tract mo­re than 60 000 vi­si­tors to their sho­res o­ver this pe­ri­od, boos­ting their tou­rism-re­li­ant e­co­no­mies.

“Re­tail Ca­pi­tal part­ners with South A­fri­can SMEs to help grow their bu­si­nes­ses and so it was im­por­tant for us to spon­sor an e­vent se­ries li­ke the sum­mer run t­hat brings bloo­m­ing bu­si­ness to Mos­sel Bay, Her­ma­nus and P­let­ten­berg Bay, es­pe­ci­al­ly du­ring the ho­li­day se­a­son.

“We find most of our clients are ad­ven­tu­re and so­lo s­port ent­hu­si­as­ts and as much as we would li­ke to spon­sor e­vents t­hat test their mett­le, we are al­so a­bout fun fa­mi­ly e­vents w­he­re t­hey are re­war­ded with me­mo­ries shared with their fa­mi­lies who are as in­ves­ted in their bu­si­nes­ses du­ring the y­e­ar. This is the first ti­me Re­tail Ca­pi­tal will be part­ne­ring with Co­as­t­li­ne E­vents to bring this co­lour­ful e­vent to li­fe,” says E­rin Louw, chief brand of­fi­cer at Re­tail Ca­pi­tal.

The an­nu­al fa­mi­ly spor­ting fe­s­ti­val in­clu­des a 5km fun run. It will boost its u­su­al com­ple­ment of three co­lour sta­ti­ons, im­mer­sing par­ti­ci­pants in vi­brant co­lours.

Lo­cal DJs will do­mi­na­te the two mu­sic sta­ti­ons, ad­ding e­ven furt­her en­ter­tai­n­ment to the rou­te. “We’re re­al­ly proud to sho­w­ca­se our new ex­pe­rien­ces as part of our fifth birt­hday ce­le­bra­ti­ons,” said Bi­an­ca le Roux, the o­w­ner of Co­as­t­li­ne

E­vents which or­ga­ni­ses the an­nu­al Sum­mer Mu­sic Co­lour Run se­ries. “We’ve been blo­wn a­way by the in­te­rest sho­wn by ho­li­day­ma­kers which has cer­tain­ly hel­ped to grow the e­vent im­men­se­ly.

The al­co­hol-free e­vent is ai­med at brin­ging fa­mi­lies to­get­her to ce­le­bra­te sum­mer in a fun and in­te­racti­ve way du­ring the end­of-y­e­ar ho­li­day se­a­son. The en­try fees are R260 per per­son and child­ren un­der 10 run for free. Each en­trant will re­cei­ve a T-shirt, ra­ce num­ber, a sa­chet of co­lour po­w­der as well as en­try to the fe­s­ti­val zo­ne with the co­lour burst, gi­ant in­fla­ta­ble s­li­de and dod­ge­ball a­re­na. “Wow - each en­trant will al­so re­cei­ve a R150 Tra­vel­start vou­cher and a R300 Sa­fa­ri Now vou­cher. We’ve been im­pres­sed by the man­ner in which the lo­cal com­mu­ni­ties within the co­as­tal re­sort towns ha­ve em­bra­ced the e­vent,” says Bi­an­ca. “It’s a su­perb day out for the fa­mi­ly and a re­al­ly spe­ci­al way to add so­me co­lour to your ho­li­day.
