A­he­ad of Stoep Tas­ting, Frank Gen­try of Ka­roo Tax­i­der­my do­na­ted 5 000 mas­ks to the Graaff-Rei­net Tou­rism Of­fi­ce on F­ri­day. The mas­ks we­re han­ded to C­hief Exe­cu­ti­ve Of­fi­cer of the Tou­rism Of­fi­ce, Jack van Nie­kerk.

The mas­ks we­re ma­de by Gen­try’s staff, and we­re do­na­ted to gi­ve to staff of the tou­rism of­fi­ce, as well as to tho­se at­ten­ding the much-an­ti­ci­pa­ted e­vent.

“This is our to­wn’s first big e­vent of the y­e­ar and we want to ma­ke it as sa­fe as pos­si­ble,” Gen­try told the Graaff-Rei­net Ad­ver­ti­ser.

Ro­se W­rig­ht, or­ga­ni­ser of the e­vent, said the mas­ks will re­mind tho­se at­ten­ding the e­vent to re­main mind­ful. “Stoep Tas­ting is no re­a­son to bre­ak the ru­les. Sa­fe­ty is ul­ti­ma­te,” she said.
