From entry level contestant to being chosen as Western Cape Brand Ambassador of Miss Eagle South-Africa 2018 and also now a semi-finalist in this huge new Beauty-with-Purpose and Brains Pageant. She is carrying the title of Warrior Princess. During the semi-finalist stage, Danika Simei has been challenged, amongst other things, to write a children’s book. She decided to find her inspiration for this challenge within nature, one of the many things she has a deep love for; the incredible beauty of the Western Cape and it’s lush surroundings. Simei has always had an artistic flair since a very young age and she was thus also inspired by her enthusiasm and joy of creating with both paint and pencil, to tap into this side of her artistic personality to make this part of the challenge become a reality. At first, she wanted to design just a colouring book for children, but after spending some time pondering about the idea she decided to make it an interactive book. So whilst the child is colouring in the picture that appears on a page in the book, the child can also read a story that motivates and inspires them. We won’t reveal too much about the book as yet, but we can give a small snippet of information and say that the story-line entails an eaglet that discovers her talents and embarks on a race. It is most definitely something for children to look forward to. A story that talks about self-discovery, growth, your strengths and overcoming your weaknesses. Even those adults who enjoy nurturing their own inner child will enjoy reading along with their children and might find truth and inspiration from the book as well.
