Unexpected guests? A little secret: keep some readymade puff pastry in your freezer and you’ ll ne verb eina fix again. Simply de frost the pastry, place on a baking tray and spread with butter. Top with cherry tomatoes, roast peppers or caramelised onions, scatter with cheese( blue or goat' s cheese ), bake until bubbly and voilà! Instant party. And it works for dessert, too. Top a sheet of pastry with fresh fruit such as stoned plums, berries or nectarines, drizzle with honey and bake until soft and sticky. Yum!
