Woolworths chocolate dome trifle

The crunch:

A layer of crushed Woolies’ classic, gooey-centred brownies – complete with edible gold shimmer.

The dome:

Made using responsibl­y sourced cocoa, the dark chocolate dome is a marvel of modern dessert engineerin­g.

The sauce:

Heat the butterscot­ch sauce provided and pour over the dome to see the chocolate melt and reveal the layers. Pudding theatre without the flames!

The presentati­on:

The table-ready transparen­t pedestal bowl means you can show off the distinct layers. Plus, there is one less dish to wash up. Bravo!

The mousse:

Chocolate and caramel mousse (made with fresh cream and freerange eggs) replaces the customary custard in this Willy Wonka-worthy creation.

The sponge:

Again, only free-range eggs were used when making this layer, as well as more of that essential responsibl­y sourced cocoa and butter.
