Sweet Lionheart

Since it was founded in 2016, Sweet Lionheart bakery has had a reputation for producing some of the most beautiful cakes in Cape Town. Graphic designer turned baker Nikki Albertyn leads a powerhouse, all-female team (including Laura Demas and Natalie Pinto, below) and is excited about the opportunity offered by this new location. “We need to create an environment for female chefs to shine and we need to talk about why that hasn’t happened properly yet. We need to support one another,” says Nikki.
