STICKY PLANT-BASED SAUSAGES WITH MELTING ONIONS IN SUNDRIED TOMATO VINAIGRETTE
“Even if you’re not following a plant-based diet, these sausages will warm the cockles of your heart. Stuff them into rolls with chakalaka for the perfect faux boerie roll.”

Woolworths Beyond sausages 2 packs olive oil 1T
Woolworths BBQ sauce ½ cup salt, to taste
For the melting onions: red onions 4, cut into thick rings olive oil 2T butter 2T red wine vinegar 2T sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
For the dressing, blend: sundried tomatoes 6 olive oil 2T
Woolworths white balsamic condiment 2T
1 Coat the sausages in olive oil and braai over medium coals until charred. Finish off in a pan on the fire with the BBQ sauce and seasoning. 2 Braai the onions until charred. Heat the olive oil and butter in a pan over the fire, add the red wine vinegar and onions and cook slowly for 20 minutes. Season.
3 Serve the sausages on top of the onions and top with the dressing.
