Snoek tacos + Springfield Albariño

The Bruwer family in Robertson first discovered this cultivar on their travels, and they are now one of its few producers in SA. Springfield Albariño (R139.99) is a perfect partner for any seafood, and is particularly good with snoek (page 83). The wine shows stunning purity and elegance, with mineral notes, lemon zest, grapefruit, nectarine, gooseberries, pineapple and a slight salinity. Its acidity works well with the sweet chilli and refreshes the palate after you’ve eaten the cream cheese.
