Designed exclusively for race and track events, Fabspeed’s long-tube competition race headers and integral side muffler bypass pipes (with helical valves) are designed to maximize the horsepower and torque potential of the first-generation 991 GT3 and GT3 RS engine by increasing the rate of gas flow from the engine cylinders into the exhaust system. This powerful pipework was carefully dyno developed to maximise engine power throughout the rev range. Bringing the headers to an end are Burns stainless collectors, which combine high flow and high velocity to increase and broaden the host 911 engine’s torque curve. A simple bolt-on installation and constructed from mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel, each set of these unique headers is hand Tig-welded and backpurged in-house at Fabspeed. Presenting an eighteen kilogram drop in weight over the standard GT3/GT3 RS headers, Fabspeed’s offering promises an additional 28lb-ft torque at 4,500rpm without the need for a ECU remap.
