WI-POD INTELLIGENT WIRELESS CORNER WEIGHT SCALES

Essential Equipment Consortium (EEC) performance system engineers have consulted with experienced race team engineers in a variety of motorsport applications to develop WI-POD, an intelligent wireless corner weight scale system. The seven-inch full-colour touchscreen user interface, combined with an inspired graphical software layout, means using WI-POD is child’s play, even for those new to corner weighting.

WI-POD can run multiple car setups, recording a data history available to view instantly onscreen and to download via USB for further analysis and record keeping. The system employs the highest quality weighting and wireless components, ensuring greater accuracy over a longer range when compared to systems offered by rival manufacturers. Each corner has a maximum capacity of 800kg to an accuracy of 200g.

EEC’S unique Automatic Track Compensation (ATC) system ensures WI-POD weighs your car accurately at any circuit in the world without the need for local recalibration. Each corner scale is machined from solid billet 6061 aluminium with a bead-blasted and anodised finish. The 150mm-long adjustable stainless steel feet run in aircraft-grade Keensert threaded inserts to ensure a long service life. Power is driven by two AA dry-cell batteries per corner.

The indicator is housed in a rugged waterproof carrycase and is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery, giving around ten hours service life between charges. The battery features short circuit protection and has a rating of less than 100Whr, which makes it suitable for air freight. A world charging adapter is included to recharge the battery and power the indicator if the battery runs flat.
