GRANULATING PIGMENTS
Different colours, brands, and grades of paint vary widely in their granulating properties. Cheaper watercolours, such as student grade paints, often contain less pigment so don’t granulate as well as professional grade paints.
Mixing certain pigments together can encourage granulation and enhance the effect.
