Vauxhall-opel returned to profit for the first time in 19 years in 2018, having been under PSA ownership for little more than 12 months. It’s not without bad news – we’ve already seen two waves of job losses at Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port plant – but PSA boss Carlos Tavares believes such cost-cutting will ultimately be a force for good. First signs are positive – next, the 2019 Corsa needs to prove its worth.
