-

1987

Robb Gravett, Phil Bullman and Graham Hathaway win the Willhire 24-hour saloon car race at Snetterton in a Group N Ford Sierra RS Cosworth powered by a Mountune-tuned 1993cc Ford Cosworth YB engine.

1990

Gravett wins the British Touring Car Championship in a Trakstar Group A Sierra RS500, once again powered by a Mountune-built Ford Cosworth YB engine. It proved a major turning point for the company, says David Mountain.

1993

François Delecour and Daniel Grataloup lead the Monte-carlo Rally in a Mountune-powered Ford Escort RS Cosworth before Didier Auriol and Bernard Occelli prevail at the last minute driving a Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD. Mountain estimates the company prepared more than 300 Ford Cosworth YBS during the engine’s heyday.

1994

In the World Rally Championship, Tommi Mäkinen and Seppo Harjanne storm to an easy victory in the 44th 1000 Lakes Rally with a one-off drive in a Ford Escort RS Cosworth. Again, the engine is built by Mountune.

1999

Colin Mcrae and Nicky Grist win the Safari Rally in a Ford Focus WRC, powering to victory with it’s Ford Zetec-based Mountune engine.

2017

Ashley Sutton wins the BTCC in the Adrian Flux Subaru Racing Impreza, its FA20 boxer engine prepared by Mountune. It’s the first time Mountune has developed an engine of this type.
