VW GROUP’S RADICAL FUTURE EVS
The Audi Landjet is just one of several bold new EVS being created within the Volkswagen Group. Here are four more.
Bentley EV 2025
Bentley’s first EV is set to be based closely on the work done for Project Artemis. However, Crewe’s technical team will also be heavily involved in ensuring that the model feels like a Bentley, with a focus on premium comfort and the use of plush, luxury materials to offer a distinctive feel inside.
Porsche Macan 2023
To be sold alongside the current Macan initially, Porsche’s second EV will be the first production car to use the new PPE architecture that has been co-developed by Porsche and Audi. An evolution of the Porsche Taycan’s J1 platform, the PPE hardware has been designed for use in a range of performance-oriented EVS, including SUVS and saloons.
Seat urban EV 2025
The MEB Lite platform is being developed to underpin a range of compact electric city cars with a target starting price of around £17,500. Development is being headed by Seat, for which an urban EV will be a key future model. It will also underpin a Volkswagen ID 1 compact hatchback and an ID 2 small crossover, along with potential Cupra and Audi versions.
Volkswagen Trinity 2026
Like Audi’s Project Artemis, Volkswagen’s Project Trinity is developing a future flagship on the new SSP platform with advanced new software. The Trinity will take the form of a long-range grand tourer and will offer advanced autonomous systems. It will be sold with a limited number of options, with many features instead available as downloadable add-ons.
