Trident Iceni 2008

The Trident Iceni was announced with a 660bhp 6.6-litre diesel engine, which was claimed to be good for 190mph and 0-62mph in less than 3.0sec. It was priced at around £100,000, sported a six-speed automatic gearbox and promised an enormous 2000-mile range from a single tank of biodiesel, thanks to a targeted combined figure of 68.9mpg.

In theory, the Iceni is still available, but bearing in mind that it was unveiled in 2008 (as a follow-up to a stillborn car unveiled in 1991) and no customer cars have been delivered (as far as we know), we’re not holding our breath.
