Regen warning

-

Is there a mandate that brake lights be activated under regenerative braking? I’ve read many reports suggesting that such retardation in electrified cars is enough to allow single-pedal driving.

My driving instructor taught me that maximum information was the key to safe driving (35 years ago).

I work weird hours that seem to coincide with very dark and wet weather, so knowing what the vehicle in front is doing is paramount. Rich

UNECE regulations stipulate that a car with regen braking must activate its brake lights when slowing at more than 1.3 metres per second squared; may do so when slowing between 1.3 and 0.7m/s2; but mustn’t do so when slowing at less than 0.7m/s2 – KC
