MINI SALES ROSE IN 2021, BUOYED BY DEMAND FOR EVS
Mini sold 302,144 cars worldwide in 2021 – a 3.3% year-onyear increase – of which 53,243, or 18%, were electrified.
The brand, which will launch its final combustion model in just three years’ time, recorded a near 100% increase in demand for the fully electric Cooper SE, which, with 34,851 examples sold, accounted for a tenth of its total global sales.
Britain, Mini’s spiritual home country, remains its core market and accounted for 46,211 sales, compared with 43,004 in Germany.
