Kalashnikov

Kalashnikov is famed for its AK-47 assault rifle, but in recent years the Russian company has had other ideas, too. In 2018, it revealed the CV-1, an electric hatchback based on the Izh 21252 Kombi from the Soviet 1970s. Kalashnikov said the CV-1 would be as important to the EV market as Tesla, thanks to its 90kwh battery, 680bhp and claimed 217-mile range. You have to admire its ambition, but little has been heard of the project since.
