Hot VRS lined up for Enyaq SUV

SKODA WILL INTRODUCE a hot VRS version of the Enyaq iv SUV this year, following the arrival of the Enyaq Coupé VRS in the coming months.

Skoda has chosen to inaugurate its electric VRS line-up with the Enyaq Coupé because of its sportier looks, but when asked if the firm will offer a hot version of the existing Enyaq SUV, CEO Thomas Schäfer said: “Absolutely.”

He added: “It’s starting [to be launched] from the second half of this year – and this variant looks fantastic.”

It will pack a dual-motor, four-wheeldrive powertrain producing 295bhp and 338lb ft for 0-62mph in 6.5sec.

A 77kwh battery will give it a near-300-mile range.
