Subaru B9 Tribeca
With a snout even odder than its name, this road-biased SUV disappeared as quickly as an Impreza WRX. For some reason, it was launched to journalists in Venice – a place hardly noted for its roads. Unashamedly aimed at the US market, the only engine it offered was a 3.0-litre six-cylinder boxer petrol whose interest factor was outweighed by its thirst. Around 350 are left in the UK; nice ones can be found for £6000.
