AUDI PLANS ELECTRIC A4 AND A8
Audi has confirmed that the PPE EV platform it is co-creating with Porsche will also be deployed in the segments immediately below and above the A6, meaning the best-selling A4 and flagship A8 will also be succeeded by electric cars.
The company has already previewed the A8 E-tron with the outlandish Grandsphere concept of 2021, but details of an electric A4 equivalent have yet to be given.
The future A4 E-tron will no doubt tout performance specifications to match the larger A6 and be similarly offered in both saloon and estate forms, but no release date has been shared.
