Affordable coupé showdown

It’s painful these days to remember how popular affordable coupés once were. As the Mk3 Ford Capri arrived, we compared it against six strong rivals: the Colt Celeste 2000, Lancia Beta HPE, Renault 17 TS, Saab 99 Combi Coupé, Toyota Celica 2000 GT and Volkswagen Scirocco GLS. Let’s just say the winner came from Germany, but not Cologne.
