MINI DITCHES MANUAL GEARBOXES – FOR NOW AT LEAST
The Mini line-up has gone automatic-only as global supply chain issues and the war in Ukraine force a halt to manual gearbox production.
The firm told Autocar it sought to simplify its offering “to secure maximum production output to meet increasing customer demand” but has not yet confirmed if it is a permanent move.
The cheapest Mini 3-Door Hatch is now priced from £18,815 – £1400 more than the manual variant.
