Bromsgrove’s Dramatic Debut

The new academic year is going to be undoubtedly one of the most exciting times for Music and Drama in Bromsgrove School’s 500-year history.

Tim Norton, Bromsgrove’s first Director of Performing Arts says,“I am particularly proud of the amazing opportunities that await our students and our community in the future. In November, we will see the opening of a multi-million pound complex of performance spaces including a magnificently refurbished and expanded Concert Hall alongside a brand new Music School; a new Drama Studio and a state-ofthe-art Theatre. There will be a purpose built recording studio and the capacity to convert our new Drama Studio into a television studio when required. All our new spaces will be fully equipped to professional specifications to give our students access to the highest standards of production so that we can support, develop and showcase their performing talents as effectively as is possible. “The Grand Opening of the new buildings in November is the result of many years of detailed and careful planning, but it sits upon many centuries of skilled teachers dedicated to nurturing the talents of our young actors and musicians both within and beyond the curriculum.”

We would be delighted to welcome any prospective scholars in Music and Drama to have a look around our new facilities. Please do get in touch with either Tim Norton, Director of Performing Arts, or the Admissions team to find out more information.
