Western great

The pianist Eileen Joyce may have been born in Tasmania, but she moved to Western Australia as a very small child. She grew up there, first in the Goldfields and then in Perth, before moving overseas to her star career as one of the most famous pianists of her day. We fellow West Australians have always been proud of her origins.
