Takács departure

After 43 years playing with the Takács Quartet, second violinist and founder member Károly Schrantz has announced that he is to retire from the group at the end of April. Once Schrantz has played his final concert, on 30 April in his home town of Boulder, Colorado, the Hungarian’s distinguished seat in the world-renowned foursome will be taken by Harumi Rhodes.
