Visual treats

★ere in the depths of rural Wales we have once again been enjoying the delights of the 2018 BBC Proms season, mostly on the radio and occasionally on TV. The greatly enhanced experience offered by the visual medium leads me to ask whether the BBC could not broadcast every concert in TV form, perhaps with just a fixed camera to save costs and minimise the distraction sometimes caused by excessive zooming. Perhaps the technology which would permit this via digital radio is not far off? Let us hope so. It would be a great leap forward. Anthony Swindell, Llanidloes
