Gloomy news from St Asaph Cathedral in North Wales, where cost-cutting measures have led to director music Alan Mcguinness and his asistant John Hosking being made redundant. Explaining that alternative provisions will now be made for running the choir, a cathedral statement explained that ‘following a reduction in the budget, we have had to review the provision of music.’
