Cabin composers prepare for take-off

-

Ladies and gentlemen, please may we have your attention, even if you are a frequent flyer. The British airline flybmi has launched a competition for students at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to compose a new piece of music to be played on its planes. The winning work, which will be around three minutes long, will be adopted as the airline’s o cial music and will be heard as passengers embark and leave. In the unlikely event of the piece featuring a viola solo, you will find the emergency exits at the front and rear of the aircra . We hope you have an enjoyable flight.
