Cabin composers prepare for take-off

The British airline flybmi has launched a competition for students at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to compose a new piece of music to be played on its planes. The winning work, which will be around three minutes long, will be adopted as the airline’s o cial music and will be heard as passengers embark and leave.
