No whining as well-bred choir marks Leonardo 500

-

Notable anniversaries to fall in 2019 will include the 500th of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. To mark the occasion, the ever-inventive I Fagiolini choir and its director Robert Hollingworth will be embarking on a ‘Shaping the Invisible’ concert tour that, as befits such a preeminent polymath, will combine aural and visual elements. And what better way to promote the tour than to get together for a group photo inspired by Leonardo’s The Last Supper (below)? As with all great art, however, what the eye sees only tells part of the story. We understand that, for instance, since the shot was taken, baritone Greg ‘Peter’ Skidmore (fifth from left) has three times denied any recollection of it, while it is also rumoured that tenor Nicholas ‘Judas’ Hurndall Smith (fourth from left) is currently considering accepting a large sum of money to defect to another choir. Possibly.
