10 yrs ago I quit my job, had a mental breakdown, attempted suicide & spent almost a year in psychiatric hospitals. Since then, still mental, I’ve released 7 albums, 3 intl. bestselling books (handed in 4th today) & and toured the world in my dream career. Everything is possible.

Playing from memory is a personal choice. Whatever best serves *your* performance is the only thing that matters. (Unless Chopin/beethoven etc wrote ‘play from memory, motherf****r’ at the top of their scores. Which AFAIK they didn’t).

Music, art, love, nature, books, basically *anything* that helps convince me that we do in fact deserve this miraculous gift of life & this astonishing world. Because witnessing the levels of hatred, xenophobia & divisiveness in world politics right now screams out that we don’t.
