Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 2.0 £190

-

When these headphones first launched, they cost a whopping £380, sounded fantastic and won virtually every award going. Today they’re almost half that price but have lost none of their appeal. They sound sensational with a spacious presentation and full-bodied performance and while £190 isn’t especially ‘cheap’, I’ve not found anything newer that comes close in terms of features, build and sound quality.

As I write this, I can hardly hear the keys tapping on my laptop, which gives you some indication how good the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is. It’s not up there with the most expensive Bose, but the added calm it lends to travel (and my office) is hugely appreciated, especially as it means I don’t have to listen at uncomfortably high volumes to hear the detail.

Bluetooth (aptx) performance, long-haul 22hr battery life, luxurious foldable build quality and sumptuous comfort reinforce just how good these headphones are, but it’s the joyous sound quality and their ability to be both boisterous and refined that has them glued to my ears. sennheiser.com
