Victory at Hastings
Fumiya Koido has become £15,000 richer thanks to a fine rendition of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G. Koido’s performance (above) brought him victory in the Hastings International Piano Competition, the final of which took place in early March. As well as his lucrative cash prize, the Japanese pianist also wins concert engagements with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
