Dress to unimpress

It was Anna Patalong’s outfit as much as her singing that grabbed the attention at a recent concert at the Royal Albert Hall. On the same day as anti-brexit protesters took to the streets of London, the opera soprano appeared on stage in a yellow and blue dress adorned with yellow stars – a show of proeurope sentiment that brought complaints from some audience members. Patalong was asked by the venue to wear a different dress for the following evening’s performance.
