Pedal power
As this issue of BBC Music Magazine goes on sale, Roxanna Panufnik will be greasing her chain, pumping her tyres and adjusting her saddle. The composer is leading a sponsored cycle ride from St Albans Abbey to Westminster Abbey, where her son is one of the choristers (above), to raise money for The Diamond Fund for Choristers, which aims to keep Britain’s choral tradition flourishing. We trust that Panufnik and fellow riders will have something suitably rousing sung to them on reaching their destination.
