Join the CBSO as it begins the first of two very special centenary seasons with music director Mirga Gra inyte -Tyla

-

‘Celebrating the Past, Creating the Future’ is the CBSO’S motto for its 100th birthday celebrations. Music director Mirga Gra inyte -Tyla opens the season with a festival of British music from Purcell to Musgrave, and along with the CBSO family of Choruses, conducts Mahler’s massive Symphony No. 8 and Britten’s War Requiem. Alongside this is an ambitious series of new commissions from some of the boldest composers in the world today, and we’re delighted to welcome back our principal guest conductor, Kazuki Yamada, along with a stellar selection of soloists, both familiar friends and new.
