IDAGIO on board

-

Since its launch in 2015, the Berlin-based classical music streaming service IDAGIO has built close relationships with leading festivals and performing organisations. The breadth of its content is set to grow thanks to a partnership with the World Federation of International Music Competitions, announced at the WFIMC’S 63rd annual General Assembly in Norrköping, Sweden. IDAGIO is now the WFIMC’S audio streaming partner and will target the online community of young musicians and competition addicts with coverage of Federation member competitions.

‘It is obvious for us to partner with WFIMC,’ observes Till Janczukowicz, CEO and founder of IDAGIO. ‘When I started as an artist manager in 1996, the world was still kind of

OK: managements and labels did the job; laureates just had to perform. The world looks different in 2019. It’s not enough to be a great performer. Artists must also communicate, entertain and engage. Competitions need to support this by reaching curious-minded audiences and promoting emerging artists so they can share their recordings, contextualise them and address audiences directly. IDAGIO provides the tools that will empower competitions, rights owners and artists to do so, digitally and on a global scale.’
