The Open Ears Project
BBC Radio 3’s Classical Fix presenter Clemency Burton-hill has taken the reins of another podcast. The Open Ears Project is a new daily programme for WNYC Studios, in collaboration with New York classical music radio station WQXR.
Burton-hill is joined by a mix of celebrities and regular New Yorkers for a few minutes every day for a month to discuss their favourite pieces of classical music, and how music has changed their lives. These bitesize episodes feature guests including novelist Ian Mcewan, actor Jesse Eisenberg, soprano Jamie Barton, director Sam Mendes and comedian Eddie Izzard.
