Spanish-born violinist Francisco Fullana heads to Potton Hall in Su olk this month to record works by JS Bach, Kreisler, Tarrega and Paganini. The recording, which includes Fullani’s own arrangemen­t of Albéniz’s Asturias and Ysaÿe’s Sonata for Two Violins, played with Stella Chen, is set to be released later this year by Orchid Classics.

Third Coast Percussion is in the studio with Clarice Assad soon, recording for Chicago’s Cedille Records. The Grammywinn­ing percussion ensemble, which is based in The Windy City, has also commission­ed a new work from composer Danny Elfman, which will be recorded this year for the Orange Mountain Music label.

Canterbury’s Caritas Chamber Choir recently worked with the Holst Society to record 14 of the composer’s unaccompan­ied part-songs, nine of which have been recorded for the very first time by the choir. Their e orts were recorded at The Duke of York’s Royal Military School Chapel and will be released digitally in April.

Leif Ove Andsnes and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra have hit the road for a European tour called Mozart Momentum 1785/1786. The tour celebrates two of the most creative years of the composer’s life through a mix of chamber and orchestral music. Their final concerts, at the Prague Spring Festival, will be recorded live and released in the autumn by Sony Classical.

Signum Classics has a full roster of recordings booked in this year, with enticing o erings coming from Nicky Spence and Christophe­r Glynn. The duo record their third volume of Schubert in English at St Silas Church, Kentish Town the same week the Sacconi Quartet records works by Roxanna Panufnik at All Saints, East Finchley.
