Heading for Oz

Jaime Martín has been named as the new chief conductor of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra from 2022. The Spaniard will have three different continents on his roster, as he is also music director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and chief conductor of Dublin’s RTÉ National Symphony. In Melbourne, he succeeds Andrew Davis, chief conductor from 2014-20.
